Who can join the Consortium?

Any Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) of higher education as classified by the Department of Education.  Non-MSI schools and private industry partners are encouraged to join the Consortium as partners.

How do I join the Consortium?

Interested organizations can complete a membership application by clicking here. Please note: all applications require the signature of a senior member of the university's leadership, which is usually:

  • University President
  • Vice President
  • Provost, and/or
  • Director of Research


Applications without the required signatures may be delayed. For questions, email us.

How long does it take to become a member?

Once we have received the signed Membership Application and Consortium Membership Agreement from the correct parties, the approval process is quick. Most organizations see an approval within 3 business days.

How can an Institution verify they are current/active members?

Do we only need to provide one contact when joining?

No - each application must have five primary points of contact:

  • Membership
  • Technical
  • Accounting
  • Award

Faculty, support staff and other contacts may also be added during the application process. Senior university leadership must sign the application before the application can be reviewed.
