DOE Opportunity: EnergyTech University Prize

The EnergyTech University Prize is a new Department of Energy competition challenging multidisciplinary student teams (all post-secondary, including graduate level) to identify a promising energy technology, assess its market potential, and create a business plan for commercialization. The student teams will be competing for over $250,000 in cash prizes.

EnergyTech UP is a three-phase competition that starts in January 2022. The deadline for students to register a team and submit an entry is Jan. 31. Regional competitions will be held in February 2022, with winners receiving mentorship and access to exclusive materials from the U.S. Department of Energy. The national competition takes place at Carnegie Mellon University’s Energy Week on March 24, 2022.
