2020 Congressional Innovation Fellowship

Do you know anyone that would make a good candidate for the 2020 Congressional Innovation Fellowship? Please nominate them for the 2020 Congressional Innovation Fellowship program! TechCongress is excited to announce between now and September 3rd-- the extended application deadline-- they are accepting nominations for the fellowship. Nominate a colleague, friend, or family member, and they will send them information about the 2020 program and invite them to join the TechCongress community. They are also excited to announce the 2020 diversity referral award! If you nominate a woman, underrepresented person of color, person with a disability, or veteran for the Congressional Innovation Fellowship, and they join the program, TechCongress will award you $500. It’s as simple as that. Why? TechCongress piloted the approach last year, following the recommendations of the Kapor Center, which found last year, in a groundbreaking study, that diversity referral awards were an effective intervention that improved recruitment and retention of underrepresented talent. TechCongress also learned from companies like Intel, Pinterest, and the startup Glowforge, who have had great success with the approach. This is one part of how they are attempting to live their values, and build an inclusive organization from the ground-up. Applications close on September 3rd!  Send them your best and brightest!
