MSRDC attends the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) National Capitol Forum on Hispanic Higher Education

Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) and other higher education advocates participated in HACUs annual meeting in Washington, DC to share their views on a wide range of issues including building stronger partnerships to expand STEM funding.

MSRDC's Glenn Hames shared details of the U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical and Biological Center's cooperative agreement where several HSIs are consortium members. In attendance was Ted Mitchell, Undersecretary for the Department of Education, who remarked that he was glad to see such a program aimed at helping not only HSIs but also all MSIs within the higher education community.

HACU President, Antonio R. Flores, stated, “This is the perfect opportunity for our schools and should be promoted throughout all of our events.”
